Mission and goals of the The American Red Cross organization

he American Red Cross (ARC) is a humanitarian organization that provides relief to those affected by disasters and emergencies, both in the United States and around the world. Founded in 1881 by Clara Barton, ARC has become one of the most trusted organizations when it comes to providing aid during crises. The mission of ARC is “to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and generosity of donors” (American Red Cross, 2020). This encompasses all aspects of their work from disaster relief to blood donations. In addition to this core mission, ARC also sets goals for itself as an organization as well as for its programs.
